Omaha-based, Midwest-built, and never outsourced. Your one partner from clean books to confident decisions.

At Franchise Resource, we keep everything in-house, because accuracy and accountability shouldn’t be contracted out. Our team has spent 20+ years inside the numbers for dozens of brands and thousands of franchisees.

The result: clean financials, clear KPIs, and honest guidance you can actually use.

Luke Towey, our CEO, didn’t start his career expecting to become a key resource in the franchising world. With a degree in finance and accounting, Luke initially took on various controller-type roles, eager to build his expertise. But everything changed when a call came from a long-time friend, offering him a position at a then-small Health & Wellness franchise brand.

Why One Team (in-house) Changes Everything

  • Consistency you can trust: Same people, same workflows, no hand-offs.

  • Franchise-literate books: Royalties, brand fund, and required tech mapped correctly.

  • Faster answers: Local time zone, real humans, proactive check-ins.

  • Data protection: Fewer touchpoints = tighter controls.

What We Do (the short list)

“We knew that standardizing processes, using the same chart of accounts, and coding things consistently could save time and reduce headaches for everyone involved,” Luke explains.

We realized that by simplifying access to necessary systems, like CRM and point-of-sale platforms, our team could take on the heavy lifting, allowing franchisees to focus on what they do best: running their businesses.

  • Month-end close: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow

  • Fee audits vs. FDD: royalties, brand fund, required tech

  • COGS & labor tracking + KPI dashboard (by unit & roll-up)

  • Cash flow planning & simple operator summaries

  • Sales tax, tips, gift card liability done right

  • Monthly review call: highlights, risks, action items

“We wanted to partner with the franchisor and grow with them, providing value by understanding their systems inside and out,” Luke says.
